We are currently seeking an Office Engineer to contribute to a significant $1.6 billion High-Speed Rail initiative, which aims to establish the first high-speed rail network in the United States. As part of a joint venture with PGH Wong, we are collaborating with the California High-Speed Rail Authority to deliver the initial 29-mile segment of this groundbreaking project, which has set a benchmark for success nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, monitor, process, and disseminate Pre-Construction Deliverables, submittals, RFIs, RFCs, design submittals, shop drawings, product data, and work plans. Ensure the completeness and accuracy of all construction documents.
  • Compile and document review comments, maintaining an organized list of submittals and deliverables.
  • Provide updates on the status of submittals, RFIs, and design reviews during progress meetings.
  • Create and manage spreadsheets and logs, ensuring all construction prerequisites are updated in Smartsheets.
  • Maintain a comprehensive set of progress prints for all drawings and specifications, including scope and contract drawings, design progress drawings, AFC drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
  • Request work plans, drawings, safety protocols, maintenance requirements, training needs, specifications, estimates, and operational necessities from third parties and subcontractors. Analyze data, specifications, and blueprints. Assist in monitoring compliance with project schedules, budgets, and technical standards. Review new regulations and codes for relevance to the project. Prepare reports and maintain project documentation.
  • Participate in Field Meetings and Pre-Construction Meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Approximately two (2) years of experience in mid to large-scale construction projects.
  • Experience with Design-Build projects is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management, or 5 years of experience as a Project Administrator.
  • Possession of a valid California Class C driver's license.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $62,400-$93,600, commensurate with the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate.
