Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team at Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP. As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing waterfront facilities, including piers, wharves, and bulkheads, as well as dry docks and graving docks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural analysis and design for waterfront projects using various materials, including concrete, steel, aluminum, and FRP.
  • Conduct field investigations, develop concept designs, and create construction documents for clients across a range of markets, including Federal/Local Government and Industrial/Shipbuilding.
  • Develop plans, sections, and details in CADD and BIM platforms.
  • Develop reports, cost estimates, and specifications.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines and project stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with Structural Concentration or similar.
  • Experience with structural design and analysis software (RISA, STAAD, OPTIMOOR, etc.).
  • Experience with vessel berthing and mooring analyses.
  • Experience with drafting and modeling software (Revit and AutoCAD).
  • Knowledge of building codes and standards (ASCE, ACI, etc.).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
