Job Title: Construction Superintendent - Heavy Civil Infrastructure

We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee the execution of heavy civil infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with a focus on heavy civil infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of craft employees and laborers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Manage the performance of productivity, safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
  • Collaborate with engineers, job teams, and other stakeholders to determine project needs and develop solutions.
  • Utilize equipment, material, and labor to maximize production and minimize costs.
  • Set performance goals and deadlines, and coordinate with superintendents and foremen to ensure smooth workflow and schedule adherence.
  • Resolve employee conflicts, grievances, and scheduling difficulties, and inform project and corporate management as appropriate.
  • Assist in schedule planning, determining craft labor needs, material quantities, equipment requirements, and other project-related tasks.
  • Ensure project rules, procedures, and programs are followed consistently, including those involving safety, attendance, and workplace behavior standards.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years' experience in the construction industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Must have experience and professional knowledge of heavy civil infrastructure, marine infrastructure is preferred.
  • Ideal candidate will have project experience with ports, docks, wharves, piers, bridges, or other waterfront structures.
  • Must be able to run multiple crews across various construction scopes.
  • Knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, engineering drawings, and other documents.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently supervise and evaluate craft performance.
  • General computer skills required, Microsoft Office proficiency (Word and Excel).
  • Organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience with cranes is preferred.
  • Must have ability to manage and inspire others.
  • High School Diploma/GED required.

  • Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
  • May work at various different locations and conditions may vary.
