We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Ryder System. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our truck fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of vehicle components
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, utilizing technical knowledge and experience
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless maintenance operations and meet customer expectations
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and inventory management
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, participating in ongoing training and professional development
Requirements
  • 1+ year of experience in heavy-duty diesel mechanics, with a focus on truck fleet maintenance
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and ability to obtain a Ryder-specific CDL within 6 months
  • Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and related systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced, dynamic setting
