Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Technician

At Ryder, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles, including brakes, tires, and suspension systems.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with diesel engines and transmission systems.
  • Conduct safety inspections and ensure all vehicles are in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical certification in vehicle maintenance and repair services preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with diesel engines and transmission systems.
  • Valid CDL license required; ability to obtain CDL within 6 months of hire.
  • Pass a Ryder drug test, DOT physical, and background check.
