Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Geotechnical Engineer Principal to join our team at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. As a key member of our Geotechnical Engineering Practice, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of engineers and project managers, developing and reviewing proposals and project budgets, and ensuring the technical excellence of your projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and project managers to deliver geotechnical engineering projects
  • Develop and review proposals and project budgets to ensure technical and financial feasibility
  • Coordinate and manage geotechnical subsurface investigations, including drilling, sampling, and laboratory testing
  • Develop and interpret geotechnical analyses and reports to inform project decisions
  • Guide and lead your team through multi-faceted civil engineering projects and business development initiatives
  • Assist in the recruiting and professional development of staff, including performance reviews and development goals
Requirements
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering, specializing in Geotechnical Engineering
  • 15+ years of consulting geotechnical engineering experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred
  • Ability to coordinate, manage, supervise, mentor, and train staff
  • Demonstrated experience building a staff and supervising technical and administrative personnel
  • Demonstrated success in business development, including client relationship management and revenue generation
