About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Geotechnical Engineer Principal to join our team at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC). As a key member of our Geotechnical Engineering Practice, you will play a critical role in driving the growth and development of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow and expand our Geotechnical Engineering Practice
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and project managers to deliver high-quality projects
  • Develop and review proposals and project budgets
  • Coordinate and manage geotechnical subsurface investigations
  • Develop and interpret laboratory data, complete geotechnical analyses, and prepare detailed geotechnical reports
  • Guide and lead teams through multi-faceted civil engineering projects and business development initiatives
  • Assist in the recruiting and professional development of staff
Requirements
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering, specializing in Geotechnical Engineering
  • 15+ years of consulting geotechnical engineering experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred
  • Ability to coordinate, manage, supervise, mentor, and train staff
  • Demonstrated experience building a staff and supervising technical and administrative personnel
  • Demonstrated success in business development, including client relationship management and revenue generation
