Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Union General Hospital. As a key member of our culinary services team, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining high-quality food production standards, ensuring customer satisfaction, and providing leadership and support to our team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including special diets and modified menu items
  • Lead and support team members in maintaining food quality standards, inventory levels, and portion control
  • Ensure compliance with food safety guidelines, HACCP standards, and local, state, and federal regulations
  • Operate cash register, manage inventory, and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or higher in Culinary Arts or Food Service Management preferred
  • Previous restaurant or institutional food service experience preferred
  • Must possess or obtain within 90 days of hire a current food safety credential from an ANSI-CFP accredited program
