Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Equipment Repair Specialist to join our team at DC Water. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and installing electrical equipment and power distribution systems, as well as performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and install electrical equipment and power distribution systems, including motors, transformers, generators, and control panels.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
  • Use test equipment and diagnostic tools to identify and repair electrical system malfunctions.
  • Collaborate with other trades and crafts to ensure seamless maintenance and repair operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher in electrical or related field preferred.
  • Five years of experience in electrical equipment repair and maintenance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid DC Journeyman Electrician's License required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, including circuit analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to electrical hazards, including high voltage and electrical shock. The ability to work at heights and in confined spaces is also required.
