Position: Part-Time Lecturer in Human Anatomy & Physiology

Institution: University of Hawai'i, Kapi'olani Community College, Math & Sciences Department

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver lectures and facilitate learning in the designated subject area.
  • Develop and maintain course syllabi and documentation related to teaching and student performance.
  • Evaluate student understanding in relation to course objectives and program outcomes.
  • Prepare self-evaluation reports based on feedback from students and colleagues.
  • Collaborate with the discipline coordinator and division chairperson.
  • Hold weekly office hours for student consultations.
  • Courses may be conducted online, during evenings, or on weekends.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Human Anatomy and Physiology.
  • Master's degree in Zoology or any Health or Biological Science with relevant graduate coursework.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience teaching at the community college level.
  • Proven ability to engage effectively with community college students.
  • Relevant professional experience in the subject matter.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Familiarity with competency-based and outcomes-oriented instruction.
