Job Title: Business Services Assistant
Company: McDaniel College
Summary: McDaniel College is seeking a Business Services Assistant to join their team. This position offers valuable real-world experience in public history and museum operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with sales promotion duties in the Bookshop
- Support customers in the Society's Bookshop
- Help with inventory management in the shop
- Assist in setting up events in the Bookshop
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers and visitors
- Guide customers and visitors through exhibit galleries
- Set up and remove signage during operating hours
- Some light lifting involved, not exceeding 10 pounds at a time
Requirements:
- Current McDaniel undergraduate student
- Must have Federal work study as part of Financial Aid package
Additional Information: Applicants should be comfortable sitting for extended periods, performing bending and stooping tasks, and have good finger/hand dexterity for typing and filing. The work environment is similar to an office setting with minimal exposure to adverse conditions.
