Job Summary

Amyx is seeking a highly skilled Senior Information Assurance Analyst to support a Navy cyber security program in the Norfolk, Virginia area. This position will be responsible for maintaining the security posture of installation information systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the rigorous application of IA policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of all IT and IA services.
  • Lead and direct team personnel to solve complex IA problems.
  • Identify IA requirements as part of the IT acquisition development process and assist in the formulation of IA/IT budgets.
  • Plan, integrate, and schedule the installation of new or modified hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
  • Supervise the assessment and implementation of identified computer and network environment fixes.
  • Guide the implementation of appropriate operational structures and processes to ensure an effective IA security program.
  • Evaluate functional operation and performance in light of test results and make recommendations regarding Certification and Accreditation (C&A).
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of IA security procedures and safeguards.
  • Evaluate security violations to determine necessary initial and long-term corrective action.
  • Assess impact, determine probable damage, and suggest methods of damage control.
  • Conduct computer forensics and follow-on analysis to build historical and predictive capabilities for IA incidents.
  • Develop IA-related customer support policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Design perimeter defense systems, including intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and grid sensors.
  • Enhance rule sets to detect or block sources of malicious traffic.
  • Establish a protective net of layered defenses to prevent, detect, and eradicate threats.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in DoD Information Assurance.
  • Current Top Secret (TS) security clearance required.
  • DoD 8570 IAT II/III equivalent certification.
  • BA/BS degree in a technical discipline.
