Registered Nurse for Assisted Living Services

As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents, ensuring their health care needs are met with compassion and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the admission process for residents seeking Assisted Living services, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
- Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the Assisted Living Aides, outlining specific services to be delivered.
- Conduct regular assessments of residents' health status, ensuring comprehensive data collection at least every 120 days.
- Respond swiftly to any changes in residents' conditions, maintaining open communication with healthcare providers and family members as necessary.
- Coordinate referrals to specialized professionals or agencies when residents' conditions require additional support.
- Oversee medication management, including verifying prescriptions, administering treatments, and maintaining accurate records.
- Provide timely and thorough documentation of care interventions, changes in health status, and communications with relevant parties.
- Utilize standard safety precautions and report any potential hazards to supervisory staff.
- Supervise the care provided by Assisted Living Aides, ensuring high standards of service are maintained.
- Demonstrate expertise in caring for residents with dementia, applying specialized skills as needed.
- Manage administrative tasks within the department, including electronic medical record maintenance and supply ordering.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the overall mission of Duncaster Inc.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
- Preferred: ANA Certificate in Geriatric Nursing.
- Minimum of 2 years of full-time clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a home care or community health setting.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems, such as MatrixCare, is advantageous.
- Comprehensive understanding of nursing principles, physical assessment, and geriatric care practices.
- Strong organizational and administrative capabilities.
- Effective interpersonal skills to engage with residents, families, and staff.
Work Schedule
3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM
