Project Manager - Water Business Group

HDR is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to join our Water Business Group in Wilmington, NC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading design teams through the planning, design, permitting, and construction phases of water and wastewater treatment projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and develop multidiscipline teams to execute projects utilizing HDR's business systems and project management tools.
  • Build team technical expertise and design production capacity through recruitment, staff development, and training.
  • Lead and mentor younger staff to ensure their growth and success.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to build HDR's brand and reputation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • At least 7 years of related experience, with a minimum of 2 years of project management experience.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.
  • Able to interact with various design teams and have a strong attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, with North Carolina PE licensure preferred.
  • MS Office and MS Project experience, with Access experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership, business development, and strategic planning skills.
  • Experience in water/wastewater treatment, distribution, and/or collection system design, with additional experience in project management.
