Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Prepared Foods Team Lead to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our prepared foods department, you will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing team, driving sales growth, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of prepared foods associates, providing coaching, training, and feedback to ensure excellent customer service and sales results.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth and profitability in the prepared foods department, including analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate with the team leader and other department managers to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets, and to ensure seamless execution of store operations.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking of prepared foods products, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to customer needs and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Stay up-to-date on new products, promotions, and initiatives, and communicate effectively with the team to ensure seamless execution.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the team leader or store management, including opening and closing procedures, and participating in special projects and events.
Requirements
  • 18+ months retail team member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze sales data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office, and operations-related applications.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds, and to stand, walk, and move throughout the store for long periods of time.
