Job Title: Life Enrichment Manager

We are seeking a dynamic Life Enrichment Manager to join our Health Services team. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with the Life Enrichment Director to oversee holistic wellness programs across our campus, focusing on the seven dimensions of wellness: emotional, vocational, physical, spiritual, intellectual, social, and environmental.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and coordinate engaging wellness programs in collaboration with the Life Enrichment Director and other Givens departments
  • Supervise Life Enrichment staff, including scheduling, training, and managing time clock reports to meet regulatory requirements
  • Oversee the development and implementation of a dynamic monthly events calendar for residents
  • Manage the production of the weekly "Gazette" newsletter and contribute content as needed
  • Maintain amenity spaces (indoor and outdoor) and oversee aquatic and fitness programming
  • Coordinate volunteer recruitment, training, and assimilation, working with both Independent Living and Health Services life enrichment staff
  • Act as a staff liaison to resident boards and committees, fostering a collaborative environment
  • Lead group or individual life enrichment programs and support resident interest groups
  • Organize off-campus events and overnight trips, managing transportation logistics
  • Assist with resident orientations and address psychosocial needs in collaboration with the Social Services Director
  • Participate in department and campus-wide meetings, contributing to the overall mission of Givens
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in gerontology, health promotion, recreational therapy, or a related field
  • 2-4 years of experience working with older adults, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Creativity and passion for planning diverse, engaging events and programs
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency with computers and software like EMR systems and Microsoft Office
  • A valid NC Driver's License and a clean driving record
