Job Description

Electrical Engineer Sr - Technical Lead

We are Lockheed Martin

This position is to provide technical assistance to the AMMM Harness Design Team in the development and production of the wiring design for all C-130, C-5, and P3 aircraft variants.

The candidate should have experience with the design and fabrication of wiring diagrams and harnesses for large aircraft platforms.

Experience with the Lockheed Automated Wiring System (LAWS), Siemens Capital Logic, LM PS1461, MIL-W-5088, Supplemental Wiring, Kits, GUIDE, CCD, and CATIA V5 is required.

The candidate must be able to assist with determining scope, estimate, plan, and implementation of highly complex technical projects.

The candidate must be able to develop solutions to problems and provide work-around plans to maintain program schedule and budget.

This position will require interfacing with support organizations as well as other AMMM management, suppliers and customers.

The position requires proposal development, quoting, implementation, technical check, production/flight-line fault isolation, and continuous improvement identification.

The candidate must be capable of leading technical discussion within program level meetings to achieve program requirements.

The candidate should work with key manufacturing elements to maintain manufacturing flow through drawing revisions and quality report resolutions.

Tasks shall also include, but not be limited to, providing subject matter guidance, training and mentoring to junior engineers.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, related technical discipline, equivalent experience/combined education considered.
  • The candidate will be participating in technical discussions with support teams to achieve program requirements.

Desired skills

  • Proficiency in using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project is desired. Experience with EVMS, BOEs, Empower, EAC, and CATIA V5 a plus
  • Experience with some Aerospace Aircraft (C130H, C130J, C5, P3, Etc...)
  • Must be a selfstarter, possess strong communication skills, work well in a team environment, possess dedication to meeting challenging delivery milestones, and be able to provide clear direction to team members.
  • Applicant must have an established reputation for respect and patience with peers and those under his/her supervision or direction
  • Electrical Harness Design and Installation Experience HIGHLY DESIRED
  • Knowledge of industry electrical wire harness assembly fabrication and installation methods and processes
  • Experience with aircraft harness, wiring or cable design/schematics
  • Some Technical Leadership
  • Some Experience with LM Aero tools and databases. These include but are not limited to LAWS Portal, ECRS, EDCS, PCM, EDW, GUIDE, and ADMS

Ability to work remotely

The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $82,200 - $157,500.

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location.

Non-represented full-time employees:

accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate:
