Position Summary

We are in search of a meticulous General Ledger Accountant. The successful candidate will have a solid grasp of financial principles and demonstrate expertise in accrual accounting and general ledger reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage front desk communications and welcome visitors
  • Daily processing of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
  • Facilitate interdepartmental communication
  • Engage with clients regarding payment inquiries
  • Prepare vendor payments
  • Send remittance notifications

Bi-Weekly and Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Compile Sales and Commission Reports
  • Process payroll
  • Record journal entries
  • Prepare Sales/Use Tax Reports
  • Conduct month-end closing activities
  • Perform reconciliations
  • Assist in analyzing expense discrepancies

Annual Responsibilities:

  • Support 1099 reporting
  • Conduct annual closing tasks
  • Prepare year-end Sales/Use Tax Reports
  • Assist in budget preparation

Education and Experience:

  • A degree in Accounting is preferred
  • At least two years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience with Infor SyteLine ERP is advantageous, but familiarity with accounting software is essential
  • Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to make informed decisions are required
  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting practices and principles, along with proficient typing and 10-key skills

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this position, employees are regularly required to sit and use their hands for various tasks. Frequent communication is necessary, and occasional standing, walking, and reaching are required. Employees may need to lift or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close, distance, and peripheral vision.

The compensation range is based on good faith estimates for this position. Actual pay may vary based on skills, experience, and education.
