We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented R&D Engineer Intern/Co-op to join our team at Philips in Plymouth, MN. As an R&D Engineer Intern/Co-op, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in engineering at a medical device company.

Your Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and quality of the devices manufactured in our facility meets our customer and patient needs.
  • Assist in research and development activities associated with new product development and sustaining.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members throughout product development phases to ensure program success.
  • Make data-driven decisions using appropriate analytical methodologies.
  • Verify that designs meet functional requirements through the performance of engineering analyses and testing.
  • Establish test methods, acceptance criteria, and test equipment for all stages of product development.
  • Write test protocols, analyze data, and document findings in test reports.

Requirements

  • Completed at least 75% of studies in bachelor's in mechanical, biomedical engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Desire to understand and communicate how products are used, designed, and manufactured, and establish test methods to evaluate design concepts.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to communicate information effectively.
  • Ability to multitask, take ownership, and collaborate cross-functionally with others.
  • Experience using SolidWorks, Excel, and Minitab.
