We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician Fire Systems to join our team. This includes ensuring that district fire safety devices are functional and operating in compliance with codes, laws, and policies.
Key Responsibilities- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain digital, analog, and security electronic equipment
- Ensure fire safety devices are functional and operating in compliance with codes, laws, and policies
- Coordinate activities of other trade shops, building engineers, and subcontractors as needed
- Four (4) years experience in the maintenance and repair of digital and analog electronic systems, to include fire alarm or security systems, card access systems, or intercom systems
- Completion of a recognized training or apprenticeship program in the field
- Verbal and written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions
- Basic computer skills
- FBI fingerprint background check
- Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization
- Post-offer/pre-employment physical examination and 75 lb lift test
- Must hold a current Arizona Drivers license and have accrued no more than the allowable points against Drivers License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services Transportation by Employees
This is a full-time position with a 12-month work calendar. Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits. Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.
