Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician Fire Systems to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of digital, analog, and security electronic equipment, to the component level. This includes ensuring that district fire safety devices are functional and operating in compliance with codes, laws, and policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain digital, analog, and security electronic equipment
  • Ensure fire safety devices are functional and operating in compliance with codes, laws, and policies
  • Coordinate activities of other trade shops, building engineers, and subcontractors as needed
Requirements
  • Four (4) years experience in the maintenance and repair of digital and analog electronic systems, to include fire alarm or security systems, card access systems, or intercom systems
  • Completion of a recognized training or apprenticeship program in the field
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions
  • Basic computer skills
Additional Requirements
  • FBI fingerprint background check
  • Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization
  • Post-offer/pre-employment physical examination and 75 lb lift test
  • Must hold a current Arizona Drivers license and have accrued no more than the allowable points against Drivers License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services Transportation by Employees
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with a 12-month work calendar. Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits. Internal candidates will transfer at a rate commensurate with their bargaining unit language.
