We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining digital, analog, and security electronic equipment to the component level. This includes ensuring district fire safety devices are functional and operating in compliance with codes, laws, and policies.
The ideal candidate will have four years of experience in the maintenance and repair of digital and analog electronic systems, including fire alarm or security systems, card access systems, or intercom systems. A recognized training or apprenticeship program in the field is also required. Additionally, the candidate must possess verbal and written communication skills in English and the ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
The selected candidate will be required to undergo an FBI fingerprint background check, provide proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization, and pass a post-offer/pre-employment physical examination and 75 lb lift test. A current Arizona Driver's license with no more than the allowable points against the Driver's License is also necessary.
The Facilities Maintenance Specialist will work in the Facilities Broadway & Kino Parkway Area and will be classified as a Blue Collar position. The work calendar is 12 months, and the FTE is 1.0 with 8 hours per day. Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain digital, analog, and security electronic equipment to the component level.
- Ensure district fire safety devices are functional and operating in compliance with codes, laws, and policies.
- Coordinate activities of other trade shops, building engineers, and subcontractors as needed.
- Perform maintenance and repair tasks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
- Four years of experience in the maintenance and repair of digital and analog electronic systems.
- Recognized training or apprenticeship program in the field.
- Verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
- Basic computer skills.
Additional Requirements:
- FBI fingerprint background check.
- Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
- Post-offer/pre-employment physical examination and 75 lb lift test.
- Current Arizona Driver's license with no more than the allowable points against the Driver's License.
Working Conditions:
The Facilities Maintenance Specialist will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities. The position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Salary Range: $19.81 to $23.00 per hour
