Job Title: Facilities Operations Specialist

Geost Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Facilities Operations Specialist to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of our facilities, ensuring they are fully functional and compliant with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage facility acquisitions, repairs, and renovations, as well as optimize energy consumption.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of facilities to ensure full functionality and operational efficiency.
  • Guide the identification, acquisition, and construction/renovation of current & new facilities.
  • Schedule and supervise routine inspections, repair work, and renovations with contractors and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including OSHA and other environmental standards.
  • Collaborate with the security team to maintain the safety of employees, buildings, and grounds.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Review utility consumption and assist with energy management strategies to minimize costs.
  • Monitor and manage Clean Rooms, major assets, and technologies to maximize return on investment.
  • Maintain detailed records of warranties, licenses, inspections, service agreements, and contracts.
  • Perform general building maintenance, including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC work, and custodial tasks as needed.
  • Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
  • Document maintenance requirements and maintain records of work performed.
  • Communicate effectively with management and team members across various disciplines.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Active U.S. Government Security Clearance or the ability to obtain a Clearance.
  • One to three years of experience in facilities maintenance, construction, or related functions.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance methods, safety precautions, and building trades.
  • Proficiency with common construction and maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Ability to follow specific instructions and safety procedures.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work well with employees, management, contractors, and vendors.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Facility Management, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of experience in facilities management or equivalent functions.
  • Knowledge of production facility operations and resource optimization.
  • Experience with facility design and planning.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery for a majority of the shift.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a majority of the shift.
  • Must be able to occasionally move materials and/or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment.
