Job Summary:

Southern Health Partners, Inc. is seeking a Medical Director to provide on-site medical services for inmates at the Granville County Detention Center. The ideal candidate will have experience in Family Practice and/or Emergency Medicine and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide medical care to inmates, including prescribing medication and referring patients to outside providers.
  2. Countersign orders and program notes prepared by medical staff.
  3. Supervise and support the care provided by other medical professionals, providing instruction as needed.
  4. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  1. Current licensure and clear background for security clearance.
  2. Experience in Family Practice and/or Emergency Medicine is preferred.

What We Offer:

Southern Health Partners, Inc. provides a monthly payment and medical malpractice insurance coverage for this position. The Medical Director will work a flexible schedule, approximately 3 hours per week, and will be required to be on-call to support our medical staff.
