Job Summary:

SCP Health is seeking a Medical Director for our Hospital Medicine program. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for leading a team of physicians and advanced practice providers in the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Hospital Medicine team, ensuring alignment with SCP Health's mission and values.
  • Clinical Operations: Oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of the Hospital Medicine program, including patient care, staffing, and resource allocation.
  • Quality Improvement: Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with hospital leadership, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Education and Development: Provide educational opportunities for physicians and advanced practice providers to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Clinical Experience: 5+ years of experience in Hospital Medicine, with a strong background in leadership and quality improvement.
  • Administrative Experience: 2+ years of experience in a leadership or administrative role, with a strong understanding of healthcare operations and finance.
  • Education: MD or DO degree, with board certification in Internal Medicine or a related specialty.
