Job Title: Medical Claims Analyst
Compensation: $18/hr
Location: Dallas, TX - Fully On-Site
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
Employment Type: Temp to Hire
Role Responsibilities:
- Acquire, validate, and maintain the most current provider contact details essential for claims processing while ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
- Contact providers via phone, fax, or email to verify, update, or correct all necessary information required for documentation requests.
- Ensure that contact information is confirmed by communicating with the highest-ranking member of the relevant department (medical records or billing).
- Maintain and regularly update the provider contact database.
- Conduct biannual validations of provider contact information; obtain updated lists from departments as necessary.
- Handle real-time requests from analysts and follow up as needed.
- Identify and rectify duplicates and misspellings in the database.
- Report any issues or concerns to the respective Lead/Supervisor or Manager as required.
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance in all communication aspects.
- Exhibit punctuality and consistent attendance.
- Meet production standards and requirements.
- Support colleagues, supervisors, or management in achieving product goals and proactively report potential issues.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
- Clear and pleasant speaking voice with professional phone etiquette.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.
- Exceptional follow-up capabilities.
- Highly organized.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- 1-2 years of experience in a medical office or administrative role.
- Experience in a call center is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Proven history of excellent attendance.
- Experience in a production-driven environment is advantageous.
- Soft sales experience is preferred.
