Brief Summary

Dallas County seeks a skilled Disease Intervention Specialist III to join our team. This role involves interviewing, educating, and counseling patients with sexually transmitted and communicable diseases, as well as conducting field visits to locate and notify associated individuals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interview and counsel patients with HIV/STD and other communicable diseases, educating them on prevention and protection methods.
  • Conduct field visits to identify, locate, and notify patients' partners of possible disease transmission.
  • Ensure proper medical care is received and may draw blood for HIV/STD tests.
  • Develop and conduct seminars to educate private physicians and clinics on reportable communicable diseases, including STDs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Business, Social Services, Health, or a related field.
  • Two years of work-related experience.
