Job Title: Child Development Specialist III

Are you passionate about working with children and helping them reach their full potential? We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Development Specialist III to join our team at The University of Texas at Dallas.

About the Role:

This is a regular full-time position that will provide comprehensive developmental programs for preschool populations. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing periodic developmental assessments, model/demonstration services, and leadership to teaching teams in a preschool setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive developmental programs for preschool populations
  • Provide periodic developmental assessments for preschool ages
  • Provide model/demonstration services, including parent consultation, quality child care, and on-site university training
  • Lead teaching teams in a preschool setting
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An associate's degree in early childhood education, child development, or elementary education
  • At least 36 college credit hours of early childhood education, child development, or elementary education coursework
  • Knowledge of NAEYC accreditation criteria and HighScope curriculum
  • Experience working with preschool-age children and as a lead teacher
  • Effective interpersonal skills
