Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the facility's equipment and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and repair, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facility Maintenance: Ensure the operation of facility equipment, including lights, HVAC, plumbing, and drains, by completing regular inspections and coordinating repairs.
  • Procurement and Logistics: Obtain competitive quotes from suppliers and external contractors, and assist in managing facility service requests.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and systems, including security gates, doors, stalls, and racks.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of maintenance supplies and equipment, and ensure that inventory levels are adequate to meet facility needs.
  • Safety and Security: Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and report any potential hazards or security risks.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with facility staff, management, and external contractors to ensure that maintenance and repair needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements:
  • Education and Experience: Technical diploma or minimum of 5 years' experience in building and equipment maintenance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and to write simple correspondence.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Forklift Experience: Experience operating a forklift is highly desirable.
  • Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.
Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to meet deadlines in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will be able to lift and move materials up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move items that weigh up to 50 pounds.
