Job Title: Inpatient Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Inpatient Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the University of Missouri Healthcare. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients with gastrointestinal disorders.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing medical care to patients with inpatient GI consult services and at the Digestive Health Clinics. You will work closely with physicians and hospital staff to promote team-based patient care and coordinate care for patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). Your expertise will be essential in educating patients on health maintenance and disease prevention, as well as acting as a resource for patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional medical support for Gastroenterology patient care.
  • Collaborate with physicians and hospital staff to promote team-based patient care.
  • Coordinate care for patients with IBD.
  • Assist with screening patient conditions and needs.
  • Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
  • Act as a resource for patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
  • Master of Science in Nursing degree.
  • Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN.
  • Document of Recognition from the Missouri Board of Nursing.
