Job Title: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the University of Missouri School of Medicine & MU Health Care. As a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, you will provide medical care for patients in the NICU in collaboration with or under the supervision of a neonatologist.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical care for patients in the NICU in collaboration with or under the supervision of a neonatologist.
  • Help teach our medical students, residents, and nursing staff neonatal resuscitation, performance of skilled procedures, and initial ventilator and other support management when a critically ill infant is admitted to the NICU.
  • Develop the standard of nursing care and possible research activities as well as other duties assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree in Nursing is required.
  • A current RN license from the State of Missouri is required.
  • A current ARNP license from the State of Missouri is required.
  • Two years experience in neonatology is required.
  • National certification as NNP (national exam) is required.
  • Demonstrated job-related experience with and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
