Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Installation Operations Manager to join our team at Overhead Door. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating field installations, customer service, and fleet issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate field installations, customer service, and fleet issues
  • Partner with General Manager to ensure quality of installation and product
  • Supervise employees in the Residential Install/Service Department
  • Analyze specifications and capacity data to determine effective processes and resource requirements
  • Identify and execute solutions to quality control issues
  • Maintain fleet maintenance and inspect issued tools and equipment
  • Conduct weekly safety briefings with field employees
  • Confere with department supervisors and sales personnel to determine status of existing and newly sold projects
  • Expedite operations that delay schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
  • Train new installers and maintain quality in the field for all Residential Installers and Service
  • Compile and update a weekly logbook outlining current projects and scheduled Builder meetings or training sessions
  • Daily review of completed Sales Orders to identify back charges, compare work completed to piece-rate schedule, and report payroll totals
Requirements
  • Working knowledge and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes
  • Familiarity with AS400 and JD Edwards preferred
  • Minimum of 2-3 years in operations management, outside sales, or accounting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, sense of urgency, personable, extroverted personality, and well-organized
  • Strong leadership and business metrics management skills
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • A motivated individual with the ability to analyze problems and provide solutions
  • Ability to multi-task and willingness to give assistance in warehouse operations
  • Valid driver's license
