We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Engineer with expertise in SAP to join our team at TAG Project Management Professionals.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Cost Engineer with a strong background in SAP to manage and control project costs. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cost management processes and the ability to work closely with project teams to ensure financial efficiency and accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Control Project Budgets: Create, monitor, and control project budgets to ensure costs are within approved limits.
  • Cost Tracking and Analysis: Utilize SAP for cost tracking, reporting, and analysis to identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare cost estimates, forecasts, and financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with project managers, procurement, and finance teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and reporting.
  • Cost Variance Analysis: Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions to maintain project profitability.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to team members on cost management processes and SAP functionalities.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost engineering, with a strong emphasis on SAP.
  • SAP Expertise: Proficient in SAP (specifically in modules related to cost management, project systems, and financials).
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Project Management: Strong understanding of project management principles and cost control processes.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
