Job Title: Principal Project Engineer

Job Summary:
SI Group is seeking a highly skilled Principal Project Engineer to execute capital projects for our site from conceptual phase through construction and closeout. As a key member of our team, you will manage and provide technical support for projects with scopes that impact significant plant areas, scopes with multiple intertwined technical disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage capital projects as assigned, encompassing all phases from conception to close-out, including scope development, cost estimation, justification, and project schedule management.
• Ensure that all affected operating groups are involved in all phases of a project, particularly in the critical scope development phase, and provide clear and timely communication to affected parties on project status, progress, and issues.
• Address safety considerations through safety review meetings and PHA/MOCs as appropriate, and ensure that environmental concerns are properly addressed and resolved.
• Ensure that project execution meets or exceeds industry and company technical standards, and maintain close adherence to project budget and schedule, communicating issues promptly.
• Complete all project close-out items, including training, preventive maintenance implementation, and project documentation, with a can-do attitude and striving for high-quality, timely completion of projects.

Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution, with a minimum of 10 years of project engineering and project management experience in the process industry. Strong MS-Excel, MS-Word, and database skills are required, with advanced business, management, or engineering degrees beneficial. AutoCAD/VISIO skills and process engineering background are a plus.
