Job Overview

As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will foster strong relationships with patients by delivering safe, precise, and effective care to achieve the best outcomes for patients, team members, and the organization. This role is essential for ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of all central fill patient orders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Licensing Requirements: Must possess a valid Pharmacy License; Immunization License and CPR Certification; Immunization certification/license as mandated by state regulations; NPI.
  • Experience: 0 to 6 months preferred.
  • Desired Skills: Proficient in problem resolution and time management.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Core Duties

  • Stay updated on the latest medications, therapies, and advancements in the pharmacy sector.
  • Comply with all company, state, and federal regulations, including HIPAA guidelines.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with external partners such as physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and vendors.
  • Meet production standards and quality expectations set by management.
  • Provide training and mentorship to new hires.
  • Administer vaccinations as required.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture for all team members.
  • Ensure accurate replenishment of medication canisters.
  • Exemplify outstanding patient care.
  • Verify the accuracy of filled prescriptions according to company quality assurance protocols.
  • Conduct quality checks on prescriptions to ensure correct medication and durable medical equipment are dispensed.
  • Address and resolve any discrepancies in prescription orders.
  • Facilitate the transfer of incoming and outgoing prescriptions.
  • Assist the Team Leader in managing inventory and ordering supplies.
  • Maintain a clean and sterile work environment in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Perform duties of Pharmacy Manager and technician as necessary.
  • Support technicians in understanding prescriptions and third-party billing processes.
  • Complete necessary documentation and understand the audit procedures.
  • Achieve production metrics and operational objectives.
  • Participate in quarterly Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) meetings.
