Position Overview
As a Licensed Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in fostering relationships with patients, ensuring their needs are met through safe, precise, and effective care. This role encompasses all necessary tasks to guarantee the accurate and efficient processing of central fill patient orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Licensing Requirements: Must possess a valid Pharmacy License, Immunization License, and CPR Certification as mandated by state regulations; NPI is also required.
- Experience: A minimum of 0 to 6 months of relevant experience is preferred.
- Desired Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and effective time management.
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy is required.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Job Duties
- Stay updated on the latest medications, therapies, and advancements within the pharmacy sector.
- Comply with all company policies, state and federal regulations, including HIPAA standards.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with external partners such as physicians, nurses, and medical staff.
- Meet production targets and uphold quality standards as established by management.
- Provide training and mentorship to newly hired team members.
- Administer immunizations as required.
- Foster a positive work atmosphere for all staff members.
- Ensure accurate replenishment of medication in system canisters.
- Exemplify outstanding patient care practices.
- Conduct thorough checks on filled prescriptions for accuracy in accordance with company quality assurance protocols.
- Perform quality assessments on all prescriptions to guarantee correct medication and durable medical equipment distribution.
- Address and resolve any discrepancies in prescription orders as needed.
- Facilitate the transfer of incoming and outgoing prescriptions.
- Assist the Team Leader in managing inventory and ordering necessary supplies.
- Maintain a clean and sterile work environment to comply with all relevant regulations.
- Fulfill the responsibilities of Pharmacy Manager and technician as required.
- Support technicians in understanding prescriptions and third-party billing processes.
- Complete all necessary documentation and understand the audit procedures.
- Achieve production metrics and operational objectives.
- Participate in quarterly Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) meetings.
