Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee all aspects of assigned projects, ensuring adherence to quality and efficiency standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Project Managers and adapt to the changing needs of projects.
  • Kick-off Coordination: Facilitate initial meetings to align team members on project objectives.
  • Documentation Management: Secure necessary drawings and specifications from contractors.
  • Support for Foremen: Provide schedules, codes, orders, and approved submittals to foremen.
  • Contract Oversight: Ensure letters of intent or contracts are secured prior to project commencement.
  • Contract Execution: Confirm contract signing with senior management and Project Manager.
  • Drawing Management: Maintain up-to-date and accurate project drawings.
  • Project Evaluation: Collaborate with Project Manager and estimator to identify and resolve potential project issues.
  • Documentation Updates: Provide updated documents to foremen as needed.
  • Schedule Assessment: Review and report on the two-week look-ahead schedule to department heads.
  • Progress Tracking: Document job progress through photographic evidence.
  • CAD Coordination: Liaise with the CAD department to address issues with contractors.
  • Meeting Participation: Attend weekly meetings and site inspections.
  • Permit Management: Obtain all necessary permits to ensure project compliance.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain approved submittal records for foremen.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Construction ERP systems (e.g., Viewpoint/Spectrum).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in materials estimating for HVAC commercial projects.
  • Participation in pre-bid meetings and site walkthroughs as required.
  • Proficiency in budgeting for HVAC projects valued at $5MM and above.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills to work with Project Managers and vendors.
  • Technical skills to read schematics and blueprints, manage Excel files, and coordinate with engineers.
  • Ability to produce clear and concise reports.

Knowledge Requirements:

  • Understanding of HVAC systems including VRF, VAV, split systems, and controls.
  • Physical capability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 lbs.
