About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Signal Processing Engineer to join our team at Scientific Applications & Research Associates (SARA), Inc. in Cypress, CA. As a key member of our Artificial Perception and Threat Awareness (APTA) division, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge sensor perception technologies for Commercial and Military markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop innovative optical and acoustic signal processing algorithms to drive our sensor perception technologies forward.
  • Analyze test data to assess algorithm performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with software teams to implement algorithms and ensure seamless integration.
  • Communicate complex signaling systems effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of new programs and support existing ones to meet customer needs.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Signal Processing or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in creating innovative signal processing algorithms.
  • Proficiency in using Matlab.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance if required.
  • US Citizenship is mandatory.
  • May require light physical effort, involving standing, sitting, and use of hands while performing duties, carrying or lifting up to 10 pounds.
  • Working environment is indoor, moderately quiet, reasonably clean, well-lighted, and well-ventilated.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in Signal Processing.
  • 10+ years of experience in creating innovative signal processing algorithms.
  • Active DoD security clearance.
