Primary Care Director of Outpatient Based Addiction Therapy

About the Role:

Tufts Medicine is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Primary Care Director of Outpatient Based Addiction Therapy to join our Academic General Internal Medicine team at our main hospital campus in Downtown Boston. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading our Primary Care OBAT program, serving as a liaison to Tufts MC Addiction Psychiatry, and participating in hospital-wide initiatives around substance use disorder.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of our Primary Care OBAT program, ensuring high-quality patient care and exceptional outcomes.
  • Collaborate with our Addiction Psychiatry team to provide comprehensive care to patients with substance use disorders.
  • Participate in hospital-wide initiatives to address substance use disorder, including quality improvement projects and educational programs.
  • Rotate on our Addiction Psych consult service to gain hands-on experience and expertise.

Requirements:

  • Board eligible or certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Board eligible or certified in Addiction Medicine.
  • Additional training or expertise in geriatrics, LGBTQ health is a plus but not essential.
  • Current medical license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is preferred.
  • Bilingual or multilingual ability is a plus.
