We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Specialist to join our team at Presbyterian Healthcare Services. As an Ultrasound Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound exams for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physicians.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams for patients of all ages, including infants, children, and adults.
- Take call for ultrasound procedures and work varied days and hours.
- Assist physicians in procedures such as needle biopsies, amniocentesis, and renal biopsies.
- Position and transfer patients comfortably for exams.
- Maintain established hospital radiology and ultrasound policies, procedures, and quality assurance standards.
- Work with student ultrasound technologists and evaluate their performance.
- Two years of ultrasound specific college coursework, associate degree, or diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- ARDMS certification within one year of hire.
- Current New Mexico State Licensure (DMS-NM) under the New Mexico Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program.
- Current BLS required.
