Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Substation Designer to join our team at Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI). As a leading power engineering consultant firm, we specialize in engineering services to electric utilities, alternative energy systems, communication, oil/gas, mining, and heavy industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical and physical design work for electrical substations ranging from 12 kV to 500 kV.
  • Support other projects as required and resolve AutoCAD software operating issues.
  • Establish AutoCAD environments per client requirements.
Requirements
  • College degree or two-year technical certificate in computer-aided drafting/design.
  • Minimum of 15 years of computer-aided drafting and designer experience.
  • Advanced computer skills and expertise in AutoCAD.
  • Sound operating knowledge of MicroStation is preferred.
  • Proven effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to complete design assignments with minimal direction.
  • Effective in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills.
