Overview

William Charles Electric, a subsidiary of MasTec, is seeking a Construction Project Coordinator to collaborate with the project team in managing all necessary documentation and quality assurance/control activities across various projects.

This role will involve working closely with site supervisors to optimize the use of labor, equipment, and subcontractors.

The position requires the ability to travel on a flexible schedule for extended periods as needed; specific projects may necessitate travel. Weekly per diem will be provided during travel periods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the scheduling of subcontractors on-site
  • Inspect and verify the quality of materials received
  • Complete quality assurance/control checklists
  • Manage submittals for material approvals
  • Address requests for information (RFIs)
  • Prepare and finalize official project documentation
  • Generate project reports as required
  • Maintain backup documentation
  • Facilitate project close-outs and final quantity assessments
  • Negotiate and propose additional work as necessary
  • Assist with special projects within the Project Management function
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Management Department
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree preferred (in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field); a High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Civil, Electrical, or Industrial Construction is essential.

Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills are necessary.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Procore, and Viewpoint is expected.

Familiarity with Windows-based applications is a must.

The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is essential.
