We are currently looking for a dedicated and skilled Culinary Support Specialist to join our dynamic kitchen team within a luxury assisted living environment. This role involves various essential tasks to support kitchen operations, including maintaining cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, fryers, and blenders. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work and view this entry-level position as a valuable opportunity to advance in the food service industry.
We offer various scheduling options, including Full Time, Part Time, and Per Diem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Washing, cleaning, and preparing dishware, silverware, glassware, pots, and pans.
- Ensuring the functionality of chemical dispensers and maintaining adequate cleaning supplies while adhering to safety protocols to meet OSHA standards.
- Performing sweeping and mopping of floors as instructed.
- Managing waste disposal from the kitchen to the dumpster.
- Assisting with heavy lifting tasks as needed.
- Conducting daily cleaning of kitchen equipment, including steam kettles, grills, range tops, and stainless steel surfaces.
- Executing monthly deep cleaning of all kitchen areas, including walls, ceilings, and appliances.
- Supporting dining room operations by clearing soiled dishes during meal service and returning them to the kitchen.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a fast-paced kitchen or food preparation environment is preferred.
- Background in restaurants, catering, healthcare, or similar food service industries is advantageous.
- Physical capability to perform strenuous cleaning and lifting tasks.
- Ability to comprehend the English language and follow instructions with minimal oversight.
- Demonstrated adherence to all established rules, regulations, policies, and sanitary standards set by management.
