MRI Imaging Specialist

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a dedicated MRI Imaging Specialist to enhance our team. We are committed to redefining radiology, making it an essential step in accurate diagnosis and effective treatment. As an MRI Imaging Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to operate MRI scanners to capture detailed images of patients' bodies for diagnostic evaluation. You will adopt a patient-focused approach, delivering MRI services that adhere to professional standards while ensuring exceptional customer service. Each patient visits our facilities seeking clarity, and you will support them through this sometimes challenging experience by clearly explaining the process and addressing their questions and concerns.
This is a part-time role requiring less than 20 hours per week, with varying days and hours.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient MRI Imaging
- Conducts patient screenings prior to examinations, utilizing two identifiers to confirm patient identity and procedure
- Communicates effectively with patients to prepare them for MRI procedures, detailing the process and positioning them appropriately
- Executes routine and advanced MRI scans on specified body areas for physician interpretation, ensuring minimal supervision and repeat scans, while providing patient support throughout
- Adjusts MRI scanning parameters as necessary
- Maintains a positive rapport with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues
- Adheres strictly to physician directives and safety protocols to safeguard yourself, patients, and coworkers
- Accurately documents patient information within the Radiology Information System (RIS)
- Keeps the work area organized and clean, promoting safety for patients and staff
- Maintains compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards
- Ensures equipment is functioning properly; cleans and disinfects after each use
- Follows all HIPAA regulations
- Assists in updating imaging protocol manuals and implementing software upgrades
- Monitors inventory of medical supplies and requests replenishments as needed
- Supports the training of new staff, providing resources and technical guidance as required
Qualifications
Required:
- ARRT registered technologist, in good standing
- Graduate of an AMA-approved radiography program
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the relevant state
- Current CPR certification
- Experience and training sufficient to independently perform MRI procedures
- Certification in imaging specialty
- Bilingual capabilities
