Position Overview

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a dedicated MRI Imaging Specialist to enhance our patient care services. As a pivotal member of our radiology team, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to capture detailed images of patients' bodies for diagnostic evaluation. Your role will involve ensuring a patient-centered experience, providing clarity and support throughout the imaging process.

This is a part-time role, requiring less than 20 hours per week, with flexible days and hours.

Key Responsibilities:

(90%) MRI Imaging Duties
  • Conduct thorough patient screenings prior to examinations, utilizing two identifiers to confirm patient identity and procedure.
  • Clearly explain MRI procedures to patients, ensuring they are well-informed and comfortable during the process.
  • Perform both routine and advanced MRI scans on specified body areas, assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions, while maintaining a supportive dialogue with patients.
  • Adjust MRI scanning parameters as necessary to achieve optimal imaging results.
  • Foster positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues to ensure collaborative patient care.
  • Adhere strictly to physician directives and safety protocols to safeguard yourself, patients, and fellow staff members.
  • Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keep the work environment organized and hygienic, promoting safety for patients and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with ACR standards and maintain necessary accreditation tools.
  • Regularly inspect and clean MRI equipment to ensure proper functionality and hygiene.
  • Uphold all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
(5%) Departmental Support
  • Assist in updating imaging protocols and software as needed.
  • Monitor and manage medical supply inventory, placing orders when necessary.
  • Support the training of new staff by sharing expertise and resources.
(5%) Additional Duties as Assigned

Qualifications:

Required:
  • Current ARRT registration and good standing.
  • Graduation from an AMA-approved radiography program.
  • State licensure as a Radiological Technologist.
  • Valid CPR certification.
  • Proven experience and training to independently perform MRI procedures.
  • Certification in a relevant imaging specialty.
