Medical Support Professional

Job Summary:
This role is responsible for performing basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision. You will aid with movement and placement of patients, assist with personal care and activities of daily living, and report findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff. You will also maintain patient rooms, clean, and orderly, and perform emergency department specific care/duties as assigned within the scope of the job.
Responsibilities:
- Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision.
- Aid with movement and placement of patients.
- Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living.
- Report findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
- Maintain patient rooms, clean, and orderly.
- Perform emergency department specific care/duties as assigned within the scope of the job.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience. You will also need to obtain a BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross certifications are accepted.

Ascension offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $40,000 to $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
