Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team at St. David's Medical Center. As a key member of our emergency care team, you will provide high-quality patient care, assess patients, and develop individualized care plans.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients upon admission to the emergency center and provide comprehensive nursing care.
  • Perform and document patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health and wellness.
Requirements
  • 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department.
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification within 6 months.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENCP) certification within 24 months.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification within 24 months.
  • National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within 12 months.
