Lead Project Engineer – Autonomous Systems

Position Overview:

As a Lead Project Engineer specializing in Autonomous Systems, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the technical aspects of installations and upgrades for advanced automation systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the technical authority for the deployment of Autonomous Haulage Systems (AHS).
  • Customize and support Modular Mining products to align with project specifications as defined by clients.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers to implement innovative systems at various operational sites.
  • Proactively address and escalate any challenges that may hinder project success.
  • Provide expert troubleshooting and root cause analysis during installations, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Support and mentor engineers involved in project execution, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Document and share insights for ongoing enhancements through comprehensive reports and training materials.
  • Maintain an up-to-date local simulation environment for AHS operations.
  • Engage in regular meetings with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Participate in additional projects as required.

Required Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of Modular Mining products, particularly in Fleet Management Systems (FMS) and AHS.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, IT, Mining, or a related discipline.
  • Comprehensive understanding of mining operations, with a preference for AHS experience.
