Job Overview

The Assistant Commercial Property Manager plays a vital role in the overall operations of our properties. Key responsibilities include ensuring efficient operations through vendor contract management, lease administration, delinquency follow-up, invoice approvals, and assisting in the preparation of monthly reports.

We seek a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in commercial property management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of providing exceptional customer service, a broad administrative foundation, and the ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate maintenance and services, ensuring timely completion.
  • Solicit and prepare vendor bids and contracts, monitoring performance and recommending modifications.
  • Assist with rent collections, including delinquency follow-up, late notice preparation, and late fee assessment.
  • Verify and code vendor invoices for payment.
  • Conduct routine property inspections.
  • Act as liaison between the Property Manager and tenants when the Property Manager is unavailable.
  • Receive and address tenant complaints and services at assigned properties.
  • Assist with annual budget preparation and CAM reconciliations.
  • Prepare lease abstracts for approval by the Property Manager and Senior Property Manager.
  • Coordinate marketing efforts as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Real Estate License required.
  • 3+ years of related commercial real estate experience required.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; property management software experience a strong plus.
  • Basic understanding of commercial leases.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload.
  • Strong customer service/tenant relations skills.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written).
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to obtain a real estate license.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance.
