We are seeking a highly skilled Leasing Specialist to join our team at MasTec Communications Group. As a Leasing Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our business by reviewing and approving all legal documents related to leasing and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Review and approve all legal documents, including Lease Agreements, Amendments, Easement agreements, collocation applications, and leasing business and legal approval packages, to ensure 100% compliance with all client requirements and quality and legal guidelines.
- Mentor Site Acquisition Specialists on leasing and client requirements, providing guidance and support to ensure they are meeting the necessary standards.
- Act as an advisor to the Site Acquisition team on all leasing-related site acquisition issues, providing expert advice and guidance to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Partner with Site Acquisition Specialists during difficult Landlord lease negotiations, working together to find solutions and ensure successful outcomes.
- Assist Site Acquisition Specialists with the drafting of non-standard lease and amendment language, ensuring that all documents are accurate and compliant.
- Draft, negotiate, and follow through to execution on new lease agreements, easements, and right-of-way agreements with new Landlords.
- Clear all title issues, including drafting and recording MOLs and SNDA's, to ensure that all documents are accurate and compliant.
- Assist with special projects as needed, providing support and guidance to ensure successful outcomes.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent years of work experience.
- Juris Doctor degree preferred.
- Two years' experience in leasing, contracts, real estate, and/or related functional areas, preferably in telecommunications.
- Strong mentoring abilities, with the ability to provide guidance and support to Site Acquisition Specialists.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to review and approve complex legal documents.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with Site Acquisition Specialists, Landlords, and clients.
- Above-average organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Business skills should include excellent leadership and negotiation skills, strong customer orientation, excellent conflict management skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving capability, excellent communication skills (both oral and written), and a strong business-minded consultative approach with a focus on profitability and margin.
