About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Highway/Drainage Engineer to join our Atlanta Transportation team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the design of civil, highway, and stormwater drainage projects, as well as managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design of civil, highway, and stormwater drainage projects, ensuring that production of specifications, reports, and analyses meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements.
  • Coordinate with other design disciplines, including planning, environmental, roadway, structures, hydraulics/drainage, and traffic.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to staff, as well as direct work assignments.
  • Collaborate with management to determine long-range plans and objectives, including recommendations on project staffing.
  • Lead project tasks for conceptual and preliminary engineering and final design activities, as well as development of construction plans, calculations, and specifications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineering License.
  • 10 years of experience in large transportation and infrastructure projects, with a focus in Roadway and Hydraulics/Drainage Design.
  • Significant experience working with DOT projects and clients.
  • Familiarity with design applications such as Microstation/Openroads/Inroads, HCS, Geopak.
